Welcome to Saraveda! My name is Kim. I am a writer, a midwife, mama to two amazing daughters, and "Pepper" to two grandbabies.

My career has been as a midwife, as well as the founder and director of Sweet Child O' Mine Birth Center in the Tampa Bay area. It's an amazing joy to teach and empower women as they become mothers. In return, they teach me as I observe the collective journey of women. 

I also have a background in natural medicine as a naturopath, herbalist and reflexologist. While I'm not working in those fields anymore, I consider myself a well-versed health enthusiast. My new found interest in cold water plunging brought me to start the Tampa Bay Polar Plunge where we had our first annual plunge on New Years Day, 2023. 

I currently live on the beach in St. Pete Beach, Florida. My joys are writing, traveling, hiking, beach life, and exploring the country in my camper van. 

After getting my feet wet with travel blogging over the last year, I'm beginning a new venture of writing and self publishing my first book. You can view the book article here.
